Richard Paul Gonzales - was born May 14 1939.
Richard went Laramie High school where he played football. He graduated from Laramie High school high in 1957. That summer he joined the air force. Richard went to Denver to take the air force oath. After Denver he went to Lackland AFB in San Antonio Texas for air force basic training. After basic training Richard was sent to Francis E Warren air force base in Cheyenne WY July 25 1957. Where he learned teletype communication. Richard joined the air force to get out of Laramie and see the world, now he was stationed just 50 miles from home. In Oct. of 1957 Richard would get to see more of the world when he was reassigned to Rabat-Sale, Morocco site Y11. Richard spent two years in Morocco until May 25 1959. Richard was reassigned to Mather AFB in Sacramento CA. Richard met Carol Crossman while checking IDs to enter px at Mather AFB in 1961. Richard was discharged from the air force on July 10th 1961. Richard married Peggy Longfield in Sacramento Sept. 1961. Debbie, Richard’s first daughter was born in 1961. Richard went back to Laramie after he discharged to visit family and look for work. Richard took a job in construction company where he found Basil (his brother) was working in the position he was hired for. Peggy came to Laramie and Richard and her went back to Sacramento since jobs were hard to come by in Laramie. Richard found a job at Beal AFB working for RCA on a titan missile site in Chico CA. He drove to Chico, Lincoln, and the butts missile sites checking the generator diesel engines on the sites. He had to make sure that the generators were inspected and maintained as scheduled. Peggy missed her parents went back to her parents in Sacramento. Richard's second daughter Vicki was born in 1962. On Thur May 24 1962 there was an explosion at silo #2. After the explosion RCA sold the sites in Jan 1963 to AMF. Richard moved back to Sacramento and worked for Gabbert lumber sales as an accountant. Richard and Carol married in Sacramento 1964. Rick was born on June 2nd 1965 while they lived in Sac. Richard then worked in Orangevale outside of Sac managing an apartment complex. Mike was born in Orangevale on August 15th 1966. Carol was working at Aerojet in Sacramento with Diana. Richard and Carol went back to Pottsville for vacation. Richard left Carol, Rick and Mike in Pottsville but turned around once he got to Chicago. Richard, Carol and the kids went back to Sac on the way back stopped at Laramie to rest and see the parents. Richard asked Paul Gonzales (grandpa) for a loan and gave Richard $20. When they went through Reno they stayed with Fitz before they went back to Sac. Richard borrowed money from Joe Mangapia to rent apartment in Reno and never made to Ca. Richard worked with Joe to pay him back. Joe and Richard went up to Squaw Valley to install an AC compressor. Richard took a job at Harold's Club as change carrier in 1966. Richard worked for Harold’s Club for fifteen years until 1981. Carol worked at Harold's Club as 21 dealer. Jeff was born in Reno June 3 rd 1968. Moved to 2180 Belcrest circle Reno NV in 1970 .
Jason was born April 30th 1974.
